We are pretty new to Columbia and this is one of the first restaurants we discovered and what a find it is. We went there for coffee but discovered the food was en pointe and priced fairly. The atmosphere is homey and the staff are always accommodating and friendly!! 100% adore this spot

What a hidden gem! Towne Cafe is exactly the kind of local, family-owned restaurant we love to support. From the moment we walked in, everything was clean, welcoming, and full of small-town charm. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. It’s so refreshing to find a well-established mom-and-pop restaurant that takes pride in what they do. I’ve already told all my friends about it, and we’ll definitely be back. What a wonderful experience! I treated my friend to brunch for her birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. The birthday latte was absolutely delicious and made her feel so special. Owners Dave and Betsy make an incredible team. Dave brings over 40 years of culinary experience, and it definitely shows in the quality of the food. Betsy’s eye for design has created a space that is both beautiful and welcoming. The interior and exterior are stunning, and every detail is thoughtfully done. I was especially impressed with how immaculately clean everything was. It’s clear they take great pride in every aspect of their restaurant. The service, atmosphere, and attention to detail made this a memorable visit. I’m already telling all of my friends about this hidden gem, and I can’t wait to come back and try the Warm Chicken & Bacon Salad. Highly recommend

Towne Coffee (now Towne Café!) is one of my regular lunch stops. Betsy and her staff are wonderful and the food is so good! I especially love the chicken salad and various wraps. I appreciate that they offer gluten free options, too. They have recently expanded their seating area in response to very busy days where seating was hard to snag (thank you!)! And unlike most "coffee shop" establishments with internet café vibes, the seating area is designed for those dining in. It means a lot to me that tables continue to turn over as diners finish eating - it helps me get back to work on time from lunch!

Recently, I saw a one star review for Towne Cafe. It was over a sign put on a table to gently remind people that this is a business that serves food, and they can serve more people if you don’t take up tables for more than your fair share of time. This isn’t an internet cafe, and it’s sad to me that people need to be reminded to have manners in the first place. If you bring a lot of people, and take up a lot of space for hours, you should purchase food. The post was very “mean girls”, and I hope that you won’t listen to someone who clearly doesn’t have manners, and would try to ruin a local family owned business. Trolls have no business posting reviews. I love Betsy and the atmosphere she’s created at Towne Cafe, and the food is delightful to boot!

We just happened to come across Towne Cafe. Considering we had never tried it, thought it would be a good idea. If you haven't gone, you need to go! Sunday, and ordered the Chovocado salad. It was served with a citrus vinaigrette and was fantastic!. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. Very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning with love to try their eggs and avocado toast, burrito, and the cinnamon roll looked delicious. They have coffee, juice, breakfast, and lunch. If you're in the area and are looking for a very reasonably priced meal tantalizes your taste buds, you need to go to Towne Cafe.

I saw a comment on I Heart Columbia FB group that this place has some of the best food in town so I had to check it out. I went for the Chinese chicken salad and it was incredible!!! I’ve been thinking about it ever since I had it and can’t wait to go back

Always a 5 star experience here! We have always had great food, great coffee, and the best customer service at Towne coffee. Mrs. Betsy is so wonderful and makes my 10 year old son feel like a star because she remembers him when we come him and asks him about his ninja events.
